How much you should expect to pay for a good wedding in Puglia

How much does a wedding in Puglia cost? I know this is one of the most brides’ worries and honestly I can’t blame them. Planning a destination wedding in Italy is amazing, but not cheap. Furthermore, Apulia is one of the most expensive regions in Italy. I know, marketing rules say I should pretend that weddings in Puglia are cheap, in order to persuade more brides to come and marry here.

But I don’t like rules, I like truth and I like to work with informed brides. Don’t misunderstand my words, I think that Apulia definitely worths its price, we have stunning views, delicious food and wine, warm people, amazing venues, gorgeous historical towns and churches and so on. But at the same time, I think couples have the right to be informed and relaxed about their wedding budget.

This is the reason why today I want to give you some information about average wedding costs in Apulia. Cost changes of course depending on the area and the kind of wedding, so please consider these information only as a guideline.

Average costs for an elegant Apulian wedding

The main expense is represented by the wedding reception. A typical Apulia wedding lunch or dinner includes a large number of courses and costs from 100€ to 200€ per person. So if you have 100 guests, a traditional menu in a traditional banquet hall will cost from 10,000 to 20,000 euros.

This amount often includes  venue rent, wedding cake, beverages and some services. Let’s say you are lucky and you find (with my help and my venue search service) a very good wedding restaurant for 120€/person. You are going to pay 12,000€  to eat, drink and give your guests the amazing experience to taste the original Apulian cooking.

Other important costs are related to the flower designer, the photographer and the band. You should expect to spend at least 1,000€ for the flowers, 1,500€ for the photos and another 1,500€ for a complete band. Your sum rises to 16,000€.

Let’s talk about the question of all the questions: how much does the wedding dress cost? We have here in Puglia some of the most famous designers, this is the homeland of made in Italy wedding dresses. In my experience a good wedding dress doesn’t cost less than 2,000€. Your sum rises to 18,000€ and to at least 19,000€ if you want to buy also a decent groom’s attire. Let’s say 20,000€ because you surely will love Italian shoes, underwear, and bridal accessories too.

These are the most important entries in your wedding budget list, but you will need also other services and products. Probably you are willing to hire a videographer, an officiant, an hair stylist and a make up artist. I’m sure you want to rent a car for the bride, and to buy decorations, favors, bridesmaids’ dresses, wedding rings and so on. You need to manage the ceremony and the paperworks, therefore you should consider a lot of other entries.

It’s difficult to give you average costs for these elements, because there are a lot of variables, but, at the end of the day, I think you have to establish an amount of about 30,000-40,000€ for a typical (I mean complete, elegant and traditional) Italian wedding in Puglia for 100 guests.

And, last but not least, I know you want to hire a wedding planner 😉

I’m not joking, I know that you have to add my fee to the sum, but this is the best way to take care of your budget, with the wedding budget service and the great discounts that my favorite venues, professionals and suppliers set aside for my couples.
